Applying

As part of an application, the department requires:

1. Transcripts of all higher education studies (unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the review process. If you are admitted, official transcripts must be provided)
2. GRE scores are optional for 2022 applicants
3. Official TOEFL or IELTS score reports for international students
4. Three letters of recommendation
5. A personal statement of interest
6. A writing sample

The admission committee does not favor or disfavor those with a master’s over a bachelor’s degree. An undergraduate philosophy major is not required, but some philosophy coursework and recommendations from philosophy faculty are considered important.
